O IPCA 15 attracts the market's attention this Wednesday (25). In addition, today's economic agenda includes the release of Open Market and External Sector Statistics, by Banco Central.
According to the forecasts of Warren Investmentsthe inflation rate should show an increase of 0.29%, with a 12-month variation of 4.29%. For Andréa Angelo, inflation strategist, the main factor for the acceleration would be the lower deflation in the food at home group.

Not only that, but Angelo also states that the rise in airfares and the impact of red flag 1 on electricity bills could boost the index.
“On the other hand, gasoline should show a more contained increase, of 0.22%, compared to 3.33% in the IPCA-15 of August”, he stated. “Finally, the Education group should still show a positive variation, of 0.09%, given the seasonality of adjustments of this item in the second half of the year, although much lower than the previous reading (0.75%)”.
