On the “Where to Invest” program on Seu Dinheiro, analyst Larissa Quaresma shares her current stock bets
Two triggers can directly benefit two actions recommended by Empiricus for the moment: the increase in the price of electricity and the likely entry of a flow of foreign money.
Analyst Larissa Quaresma, responsible for the portfolio, explained in an interview with the Onde Investir program that droughts can benefit the revenues of a company in the electricity sector, recently included in the portfolio.
Additionally, changes in the MSCI index can boost demand for a company that was already recommended.
Possibility of growth in the energy sector
The rainfall volume in September is below expectations, causing weather conditions that hinder energy production in the country. Therefore, generators may start operating under a stricter yellow or red flag, causing the price of electricity weighs in the pockets of Brazilians.
This price variation should also have effects on the Stock Exchange, especially on the shares of a specific company: Eletrobras (ELET6).
In addition to the rise in energy prices, Eletrobras is a bet as a defensive position for a time of inflationary and interest rate pressure.
After all, unlike other sectors such as retail, its revenues are more stable. Therefore, the stock is aligned with the defensive objective and enters as a new addition to the portfolio to replace Intelbras (INTB3).
MSCI to include Brazilian giants
Another trigger could benefit Stone, which was already in the portfolio: the inclusion of Brazilian companies, but with open capital abroad, in the MSCI Brazil index.
The Index coordinated by the investment bank Morgan Stanley is one of the most important measures of the performance of the Brazilian market. Therefore, it is a reference for several investment funds abroad that wish to invest here.
Therefore, investment funds guided by the Index should follow the changes, exposing foreign investors to the new listed companies. Good news for Stone (STOC31), Nubank (ROXO34), XP (XPBR31) and other Brazilian giants. This movement should attract the market's attention and positively impact returns for investors.
