As municipal elections are almost here. On October 6th and 27th, the first and second rounds, more than 153 million Brazilians will be able to go to the polls to choose their candidates for city councilor and mayor. To vote, all you need to do is bring an official photo ID.

The document may be an identity card, passport, professional category card recognized by law, reservist certificate, work card or national driver's license.

O Superior Electoral Court (TSE) says that the documents may be presented even if their expiration date has expired. “What is important is that these documents are legible and that it is possible to prove your identity by presenting one of them,” they emphasize.

The voter registration card, however, is recommended to be taken only for the information it contains, such as information about the zone and the electoral section.

It is possible to download and install e-Título – available at Apple Store by you Google Play Store – for greater convenience.

If the voter prefers and already has the biometric registration of the voter registration card, it is possible to simply present the e-Title when voting.
