Rural producers of Rio Grande do Sul and no Mato Grosso had a sustainable increase in productivity in soybean, corn and rice crops with the implementation, in partnership with 3tentos (TTEN3), management strategies and innovations in agriculture.

The initiative is part of the Produzir+ program, which, in 2024, completed a decade of operation with, according to the company, numbers that prove the efficiency of the project.

In the last edition, 23/24 harvest, the average productivity was 4.1%, which represented a volume of approximately 360 thousand bags of soybeans, cultivated on around 135 thousand hectares – the total area of the producers who participated in the program.

At an average price of R$115 per bag of soybeans, the estimate is that more than R$42 million will circulate in the economy. Over ten years, the average increase in productivity in soybean crops was 6.3%.

In total, there were 631 participants from the South and Central-West. In its first edition, the project brought together 27 producers. This year, they totaled 122, including the participation of producers from the Central-West, who began participating in the program in 2023.

According to Fernando Bavaresco, RDI and Digital manager at 3tentos, Produzir+ aims to reproduce the company's culture and seek out and recognize good professionals.

“The program aims to provide relevant technical information to producers and show the difference in practice. Today, we have 170 consultants working side by side with farmers. Over these 10 years, we have seen a constant growth in the number of participants and an increase in average profitability in all editions,” he said.

About 3tentos' Produzir+

Every year, 3tentos consultants choose a producer to offer personalized consultancy. In a crop of around 100 hectares, for example, the consultant will use a portion, usually around 40 hectares, to manage the crop according to the technical recommendations that will be developed together with the owner.

First, a general survey is carried out on how the crop is managed, including information on the fertility of the area, cultivars that will be sown, phytosanitary package, among others.

Based on this diagnosis, the 3tentos consultant will make adjustments and give recommendations, always seeking to increase profitability. “The goal is to achieve better production at the appropriate cost. Eventually, the producer may even invest a little more, but he will have a greater return on this investment,” explained Bavaresco.

The work will be monitored weekly, so that the farmer can see the development of the area and compare, in practice, the differences between the two management systems. The expectation is to have a healthier, larger plant that will produce more grains. “In many of these areas, we hold a Field Day to show the work to other producers in the region,” said the manager.

Finally, both areas are harvested and measured to check the yield in each area and calculate the return on investment. “It is not a challenge, but rather a collaboration with the producer, with what he is already doing. Our goal is not to suggest adjustments that could improve profitability,” he explained.

Produzir+ is held every year from October until the end of the harvest. At the end of the cycle, 3tentos selects the best cases presented, in order to stimulate the work of its consultants and share the company's culture.
