A Petrobras (PETR4) will reduce the price of aviation kerosene (QAV) by 9.1% as of October, the company reported this Thursday (26).
The information came after the company's executive president, Magda Chambriard, told journalists that the monthly reduction would be almost 10%.

After participating in the ROG.e sector fair, in Rio de Janeiro, Chambriard also stated that the company works to be competitive in the Brazilian market, which means that it can reduce fuel prices whenever it understands that this is possible.
“A Petrobras has empathy for Brazilian society and is committed to the development of the company in a context of social development. We look at fuel prices all the time, and this is permanent, and every time we understand that we can reduce it, we will do it”, stated the CEO.
“We make money by respecting and having empathy with the Brazilian people.”
In the case of aviation kerosene, the adjustments are monthly according to contracts, while in fuels such as gasoline and diesel there is no defined periodicity.
With the reduction indicated in the QAV for October, the Petrobras records a 16.4% reduction in the price of fuel in 2024. In the comparison since December 2022, there was an accumulated reduction of 32.8%, said the company.
A Petrobras sells the QAV produced in its refineries or imported only to distributors, who in turn transport and sell the products to air transport companies and other end consumers at airports, or to resellers.
Chambriard also said that the company's new strategic plan, updated every year, should be published in November.
