A Petrobras (PETR4) is working hard to increase the supply of domestic natural gas on land in Brazil, said the president of the state-owned oil company, Magda Chambriardthis Wednesday (25).
The executive reiterated that large platforms under construction were designed without the possibility of exporting gas to the coast, “for reasons of economy”.

“I arrived at Petrobras and came across some construction work on some large platforms that were unable to export gas to the coast… So reinjection into them is mandatory. We are working to reverse this,” said the executive, while participating in an event promoted by Firjan.
“The effort has been great, but my main message is the following: you can believe it, there will be more energy,” he said.
Chambriard took office in May, after President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva having decided to remove him from command of the oil company Jean Paul Pratesin a move that sought to accelerate the company's projects, generating employment and income for the country. Increasing the supply of gas, as a way of also reducing prices, is an important demand of the federal government.
