According to the company, the expansion, with an investment of R$162.6 million, is expected to begin construction in January 2025 and is expected to open in the second half of 2026.
Multiplan estimates that the project should contribute to the mall's flow, which, in 2023, was 11.9 million visitors, in addition to complementing its mix.
ParkShopping is located in a region that leads the national GDP per capita ranking and was Multiplan's fifth shopping mall, opened in 1983.
The mall today represents 3.4%2 of the GLA of the Central-West region of Brazil, while its annual sales totaled 10.4%2 of the total sales of shopping malls there, reaching R$1.6 billion in 2023 and ranking fifth place in the company's portfolio.
The last expansion was in 2023, when it underwent a major revitalization in celebration of its 40th anniversary
of history, modernizing the facade, furniture, landscaping, children's playground, among other improvements that aim to provide an even more complete experience for shopping mall patrons.
Today, after nine expansions, ParkShopping has 53 thousand m² of GLA, in addition to two commercial towers opened in 2012, ParkShopping Corporate.
