The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes stated this Friday that platform , according to a decision seen by Reuters.
According to the document, the deposit of 28.6 million reais that X reported having made was not made to the account stipulated in the court decision, and the STF, therefore, ordered the immediate transfer of the amount to the correct account.
Moraes also determined that, after compliance with the measures, the files be forwarded to the Attorney General's Office (PGR) for comment before a possible decision on the return of X, the former Twitter.
OX, Elon Musk's company, had earlier informed in a petition that it had made full payment of the three fines imposed by the STF, and requested the immediate unblocking of the platform “for free access by its users throughout the national territory.”
The social media platform has been blocked from access in Brazil since the end of August, as determined by Moraes, in a decision later unanimously confirmed by the First Panel of the Supreme Court.
The sanction in the country, one of the most important for the platform in the world, follows a long and public clash between Moraes and Musk, who repeatedly refused to comply with court orders in Brazil.
