To vice-president two USA, Kamala Harrisincreased its advantage over Donald Trump in the electoral race, standing at 47% and 40%, respectively. According to the Reuters/Ipsos poll, published this Tuesday (24), this opening reflected the decrease in Trump's lead in the area of economy and employment.
Harris currently holds a 6 percentage point lead, based on unrounded numbers, with the support of 46.61% of registered voters. On the other hand, the former US president has the support of 40.48%.

In a poll conducted by Reuters on September 11 and 12, the candidate had a 5 percentage point lead. It is worth noting that both polls have a margin of error of about 4 percentage points.
According to Reuters, 43% of voters favor Trump on his approach to the economy, unemployment and jobs, compared to 41% for Harris. However, this advantage has been decreasing over the months.
In August, the candidate had a 3 percentage point lead on the topic, and in July, 11 percentage points.
While national polls provide important signals about the electorate's views, the Electoral College results, state by state, determine the winner.
The survey of 1,029 U.S. adults nationwide, including 871 registered voters, was conducted online. Of those, Reuters found 785 were likely to vote on Election Day.
