The president of B3Gilson Finkelsztain, said this Thursday (26), that it is necessary to discuss potential future IPOs of clubs soccer. “The capital market will be an important piece of help to the world of football to bring professionalism and governance”, he stated.
“We have to discuss potential future IPOs, but the capital market is not just equity. There is a lot to bring to the debt capital market, fixed income issues, commercial notes or debentures.”
The executive participated in the 3rd Brazilian Seminar on Football, the law of the SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol) and the Capital Market and the launch of the Brazilian Institute of Studies and Development of the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (Ibesaf), at the headquarters of the Securities Commission Furniture (CVM), in the center of Rio.
Lawyer Rodrigo Monteiro de Castro, president of Ibesaf, stated that the sector's first IPO could happen next year.
The legal director of Banco do Brasil, Lucineia Possar, in turn, said that the issues carried out within the SAF will bring governance to the sector, mentioning as an example the fut debentures, a funding mechanism authorized by the CVM in 2023.
