The survey results for the first eight months of 2024 FipeZAP Index reveal an accumulated increase of 5.65% in commercial rent in the year, a result that also exceeds the variations in IPCA of 2.85% increase and IGP-M with an increase of 2.00% in the period. In sales, the increase was only 0.18%.
The variations, which are published periodically, were calculated by Fipe based on information from samples of advertisements for properties for sale and rent on the internet. The study evaluates the average price of commercial rooms and units of up to 200 square meters in 10 Brazilian cities on a monthly basis.

With an increase of 1.64%, the highlight of the month in terms of rents was Curitiba. Soon after, another capital that showed an increase was Belo Horizonte, with a gain of 0.92%.
Curitiba also led in terms of sales, the city that saw a 1.49% increase, while Niterói came right after with a jump of 0.93%.
In a broader analysis, over the last 12 months, the FipeZAP Commercial Sales Index showed a certain stability in sales prices, while rent appreciated 7.35% in the accumulated total. Comparatively, the IPCA rose 4.24% and the IGP-M had gains of 4.26%.
