The three contracts provide for R$ 2.9 billion in investments in 112 municipalities of the State.
Lot 1, which includes 36 cities in the Central-East microregion, was won by Saneamento Consultoria, which offered the price of R$5.17 per cubic meter of measured sewage.
Lot 2, which encompasses 48 municipalities in the West microregion, was won by Acciona, with a value of R$4.72 per cubic meter of measured sewage.
And Lot 3, which includes 28 cities also in the West microregion, was won by Iguá Saneamento, which presented a proposal of R$4.75 per cubic meter of measured sewage.
The companies will perform maintenance and operation services worth a total of more than R$3.1 billion. The sewage collection and treatment contracts in the 112 municipalities will last 24 years through an administrative concession, as provided for in the notice prepared by Sanepar.
“With a total of R$11 billion in investments in the current five-year cycle, we will quickly reach universal sanitation, without losing the quality of services,” said Sanepar CEO Wilson Bley.
Second Sanepar PPP
This is the second PPP process conducted by Sanepar with the aim of meeting the target established by the Legal Framework for Sanitation to serve 90% of the population with sewage collection and treatment services by 2033.
In July 2023, Saneamento Consultoria won a lot of 16 municipalities in the Central-Coastal Region. In this contract, the total investment planned is R$ 1.2 billion, with operations worth another R$ 1.1 billion.
With the PPP, the companies that win the bids start to work in partnership with Sanepar, executing the works and carrying out maintenance on the systems.
Of the total to be invested, the largest portion, 48.4%, will be in the execution of the sewage collection network, in addition to 24.7% in the construction of sewage treatment plants.
